It would be a crime that by now you have not yet seen the fantastic parasites, but if this is the case (or you simply want to enjoy it again), know that it is now possible to do it via streaming and without paying a penny. And it is that although it seems incredible, the film by Bong Joon-ho, who made history at the 2020 Oscars, had not been offered so far on any platform, something that changes from now on.
A power yet to be explored
Despite the fact that the most moviegoers have been enjoying the jewels that come from South Korea for some time, the truth is that for a large part of the population, their films continue to be completely unknown. Our usual aversion to subtitles doesn’t help – seriously, you should give them a try, once you get used to it, you don’t want to see anything dubbed again – coupled with a poor distribution of the tapes produced in this Asian country.
And that South Korea is a true cinematographic power in which more and more films are produced every year (with a fantastic reception by its audience). To give you an idea, in the year 2019, each South Korean bought 4.6 movie tickets on average, which implied the highest average in the worldwhich is said soon.
In such a framework, it is not surprising that incredible directors and fantastic works such as Burning by Lee Chang-dong, Train to Busan by Yeon Sang-ho, The Stranger by Na Hong-jin or Decision to leave by Park Chan-wook, by cite just a few examples. In his extensive list of good movies we also have the film that possibly finally got the deserved attention of all the planes in South Korean cinema: parasites (also known as Parasite, its title in English).

Parasites was quite a revolution. Word of mouth helped a lot to get people interested in this tape with such a peculiar name in which we were presented with the dynamics of two families from very different social classes, but without a doubt the criticism specialized was the first to promote the film, first with its good ratings and then in the form of awards, which culminated in the Oscars where it won 4 statuettes, including a historic one: best film (the most important award) despite being a non-english speaking film.
With such a resume it is almost a crime that we still did not have any platform that included it in its catalog of streaming -beyond the rental services, of course-, something that has now changed with the inclusion of the film in RTVE Play.
