2K’s WWE franchise made a comeback last year, with WWE 2K22 which met with critical and commercial success far higher than what the series achieved in previous years. Now all eyes are on its successor, of course, and after the recent news that the game will be officially presented later this month, some details about it seem to have leaked.
On Twitter, @ALumia_Italia, a page that routinely tracks the Xbox Store backend, recently leaked the news of WWE 2K23, before promptly withdrawing the tweet (via Reddit). The leak mentioned a Cross-Gen bundle for the title, while also seemingly confirming that WWE superstar and actor John Cena will be the cover star of this year’s game.
As previously reported, WWE 2K23 will be officially announced on January 28, the same day as the WWE Royal Rumble, with more details to follow in the days and weeks to come. We’ll keep an eye out for new details, so stay tuned for more updates.
