JAKARTA – Welcome Chinese New Year 2023 several countries in the world have their own celebrations that are unique and different from the others.
As reported by Al Jazeera, in China, Chinese New Year will be celebrated for 15 days. It is also known as the Spring Festival and is the most important holiday of the year.
The 2023 Chinese New Year event is also celebrated in various countries, including in several countries in Asia such as Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, to South Korea.

Here are 5 countries that have unique traditions in welcoming the Chinese New Year 2023:
1. South Korea
Chinese New Year in the land of ginseng is one of the most important traditional holidays. The day offers everyone to honor their ancestors and elders.
On Chinese New Year in South Korea, everyone wears a hanbok (traditional dress), and children show their respect for their elders.
2. Vietnam
Chinese New Year in Vietnam is also known as Tết. Just like in South Korea, Vietnamese people will also wear their traditional clothes to welcome the new year.
