The ViX platform presented the first preview of its dramatic thriller based on the literary classic by Alexandre Dumas, “The Count of Monte Cristo”. This modern adaptation of the novel will arrive this year.
“Montecristo” tells the story of “Alexander Montecristo” (William Levy), an enigmatic figure that breaks into the public sphere and generates concern among the global elite because the origin of his fortune and his past are unknown.
“Montecristo” is the founder and CEO of a new technology company that has aroused the envy and interest of many, including “Fernando Álvarez Mondego” (Roberto Enríquez), a businessman related to the Spanish aristocracy who wants to acquire the company “Montecristo”.
What “Fernando” does not know is that “Montecristo” is someone whom he met decades ago and the reason he suddenly appeared in her life is purely so that he can get revenge. The series also features performances by Juan Fernández (“El Cid”), Esmeralda Pimentel (“High Heat”), Silvia Abascal (“Amazing Elisa”), Itziar Atienza (“Entrevías”), Guiomar Puerta (“I’m alive” ) and Franky Martin (“Entrevías”).
“Montecristo” is written by Lidia Fraga (“Criminal Method”) and Jacobo Díaz (“Criminal Method”) and directed by Alberto Ruiz-Rojo (“Temperance”). “Montecristo” is produced by Secuoya Studios, with the executive production of David Martínez, Ángela Agudo, David Cotarelo and Sergio Pizzolante. William Levy and his producing partner Jeff Goldberg are executive producers.
