A few days ago it premiered in ViX the Serie “To fall again”story starring Kate del Castillo, Maxi Iglesias and Ruben Zamora, who make up a love triangle that will live their emotions to the limit. This passionate drama of six episodes, of which two are already available on the platform, is based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy, “Anna Karenina”.
About, THE REPORTER spoke with Kate and Rubén about this premiere. “We are very excited to present a story adapted from one of the most beautiful classics in world literature that is ‘Anna Karenina’, in a Mexicanized way, adapted by some great Spanish writers”, says Kate. “It’s talking about real characters, which are basically archetypes of which we all have a bit of them, perhaps at different stages of our lives.”
And it is that in the story, Kate plays “Ana Monte de Oca”, a woman with a determined life, married to “Jandro” (Rubén Zamora), with a son and with a future that seems already written, until she meets “Vico”, a Spanish musician who moves her whole world and with the one who will live very passionate moments, making her make transcendental decisions that will make her life take another course. The direction of “Volver a caer” is by Hari Sama and the cast also participates Martín Altomaro, Flor Edwarda Gurrola, Daniel Tovar and Lucía Gómez-Robledo, among others.
In fact, in addition to the problem of “Ana” with “Vico” and “Jandro”, also the public can see how other sentimental relationships develop with the other characters. “Each one reacts to the different problems that exist. This was one of the things that caught my attention about this new version of ‘Ana Karenina’ and being able to show today’s couples what we face, like that scrutiny that used to be society and now is social networks, which This is what happens to ‘Ana Montes de Oca’, talking about bulimia, postpartum depression, opening relationships… controversial issues that I’m sure people will be discussing after seeing each episode”.

For his part, “Jandro”, the character played by Rubén Zamora, husband of “Ana”, He has a relevant position in society that makes him save face, be diplomatic so as not to fall into controversy. “He keeps up appearances because he thinks he has a lot to lose, like living standards and status. It really gives us a lot of trouble thinking what others think about what we do, instead of being. And the problem with ‘Jandro’ is that she does not allow herself to be, she is living a fairy tale that has been sold to her”.
He expresses that “Jandro” is someone close in everyone’s life, “he is our neighbor, he is our cousin, it was me 10 years ago, we have seen him and we recognize him, unfortunately we will continue to see them for a time that I hope each time shorten more, because he is the man that we have been educated to be and that they also put a responsibility on him to cover the quotas that touch him as a macho and as a patriarchy ”. Both actors are confident that this series will be liked by the public.

“All happy families are alike; the unfortunate are each in their own way”. This is how the story begins leo tolstoy wrote at the end of XIX century and that would later become a benchmark for universal literature. A story about love, betrayal, happiness and loss embodied here by a 21st century woman, far removed from the constrained social structures of the time, but also subjected to moral judgment just for being a woman.
“Ana” has reached maturity at the best moment of her life. She believes she has achieved everything: a job that she is passionate about, a husband who loves her, and a son in whom she invests all her love. But an unexpected encounter with a young musician named “Victor” cracks his life and calls into question everything he believed in. Her unbridled passion for this new love completely breaks everything, but “Ana” is honest and chooses to live according to her feelings, rather than surrender to the falsehood of a worn-out marriage.
