The village heads through PP Papdesi on Tuesday (17/1/2023) then held a demonstration asking for their term of office to be extended. It was as if these aspirations were immediately paid in cash with a strong signal of approval from the President.

Deputy Chairman of Commission II DPR RI Yanuar Prihatin criticized the extension of the term of office for village heads (kades) to 9 years. Yanuar assessed that this decision must be followed by an increase in the quality of the village apparatus.
