WASHINGTON, 12 JAN – On the ground, with a policeman pressing his elbow on his neck and another who hit him with a stun gun for over 30 seconds. Thus died the 31-year-old teacher Keenan Anderson, cousin of the founder of the Black Lives Matter movement. Yet another case of disproportionate violence occurred in Los Angeles on 3 January. Anderson had been involved in a car accident but the policemen who arrived at the scene, instead of helping him, threw him to the ground and hit him, the family reported. At one point the man, in a panic, yelled: “Help me, they are trying to do to me what they did to George Floyd”. (HANDLE).
