DAMASCUS – The team United States of America (USA) arrested three frontmen of the Daesh group ( ISIS ) during helicopter and ground attacks on Syria east. This was revealed by the US military Central Command, Sunday (22/1/2023).
According to Colonel Joe Buccino, spokesman for US Central Command, the attack occurred on Saturday (211/2023). “One civilian received “minor injuries” during the attack and was treated at a nearby medical facility before being released back to his family,” Buccino said.

A Central Command statement described the militants as facilitators, logistics and “associates” of the jihadist group. Several other details of the raid were also disclosed.
Central Command alluded to the presence of “partner forces” – a language that has in the past been used to refer to the Syrian Democratic Forces, the Syrian Kurdish armed group that helped the US and its allies defeat the Islamic State group, which is seeking to establish an Islamic caliphate.
After the jihadists lost their last remnants of territory following a coalition-backed military offensive in March 2019, the remnants of ISIS in Syria have largely retreated to their desert hideouts in the country’s east.

Since then, they have used such hideouts to ambush Kurdish-led forces and Syrian government forces while continuing to launch attacks in Iraq.
On Friday, Central Command said a drone strike hit a US-led coalition base in southern Syria, with war monitors saying the strike was launched by Iranian-backed groups.
