NEW YORK, JAN 25 – Italy’s GDP is expected to contract by 0.3% in 2023, slowing down compared to +3.7% in 2022, to then rebound in 2024 by +1.1%. This was revealed by the UN World Economic Situation and Prospects report for this year. “GDP is expected to contract in Germany, Italy, Sweden and the UK in 2023 as these economies are particularly vulnerable to rising energy prices and borrowing costs,” the report reads.
