JAKARTA – Sikorsky has won a contract with the Army United States of America (US) above helicopter fighter UH-60M Black Hawk valued at USD650 million. Contract work will be conducted in Stratford, Connecticut over the next 4.5 years with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2027.
As quoted from Military-today, the UH-60M Black Hawk is a variant of the Black Hawk helicopter. This multi-mission helicopter was developed by Sikorsky Aircraft. The UH-60 Black Hawk has been in service with the United States Army since 1976.

The export version of the UH-60 Black Hawk is designated as the S-70A. More than 2,000 variants of the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter operate in the US. In addition, more than 600 units were exported. It is known, the Black Hawk variant has been ordered by 29 countries.
The Black Hawk helicopter logged more than four million flight hours. This helicopter, which has a length of 19.76 meters and a height of 5.13 meters, has a maximum cruising speed of up to 294 kilometers/hour with a range of 584 kilometers.
