FLORENCE, 19 JAN – In 2022 there were over 4 million visitors to the Uffizi Galleries, the Florentine complex made up of the Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens. A result more than double last year (when there were around 1.7 million), but 300 thousand people less than in 2019, the last pre-pandemic year in which the complex recorded an all-time record of around 4.4 million. In 2022, the Galleries explain, the museums also recorded record collections with over 35 million euros, of which around 2 million came from exhibitions organized abroad. (HANDLE).
