Weeks after beginning the search for Ángel in the Toledo landfill, the police have found human remains that could belong to the minor from Madrid who disappeared along with his cousin on December 10.
The body of Fernando, 17, was found right there, specifically on the conveyor belts.
The last time the young people were seen was in a shopping center in Carabanchel, where they were shopping with their families. At one point, they walked away saying they were going to have a sandwich, but they took the subway instead.
The main hypothesis is that they went to Toledo to see some girls from another family. Once there they got cold and they got into a container, which, without them realizing it, was transported by a truck that took them to the landfill.
In fact, the results of Fernando’s autopsy confirmed that the minor died from lack of air and that it was not a violent death. The other hypothesis that was considered was a reckoning between two families.
Now we will have to wait for the results of the DNA tests to find out if these remains belong to little Angel.
José María Fernández has been live with Antonio, spokesman for the family, he has assured that the parents of the minor have hope that the remains belong to their son. “They are going to have that pain all their lives but they need to rest now,” he assured. The whole family is devastated and they have not celebrated the holidays.
Ángel’s father has spoken with the National Police and they have told him that tomorrow they will tell them the results of the DNA test. The family knows nothing about what could have happened, but they are anxious to find out what happened. “The family wants to turn the page, rest and for his son to be next to his cousin,” he said.
Carlos Quílez has said that it has been requested that the summary secrecy be extended in order to continue with the investigation. There are two lines: on the one hand, the search for the body and, on the other, what happened in Toledo.
