the future of dc universe is, at the moment, a great mystery that only a handful of people know about, mainly James Gunn y Peter Safran. The change of leadership in the division of Warner Bros. Discovery that adapts DC comics to audiovisual is bringing many changes, which could include Supergirl.
The end of the era of the old DC Expanded Universe already anticipates a series of changes in different characters from comics that we have seen in recent years, like Superman, who will no longer be played by Henry Cavill.
Interestingly, Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-ELbetter known as Supergirl, is one of the characters that will make her big screen debut this year through The Flash movie.
It will be sasha street who is in charge of giving life to this iteration of the character who, however, has not guaranteed (or ruled out) his continuity in the plans, yet to be revealed, of the Gunn and Safran DC Universe.
Supergirl would be a perfect character for Chloë Grace Moretz
With this possibility in mind, fans are debating which actress could become Supergirl in the future of the DC Universe if Gunn and Safran decide not to continue Sasha Calle. A name that sounds frequently is that of Chloë Grace Moretz.
The Kick-Ass actress, who we recently saw in The Peripheral, has already taken her first steps in the superhero genre and, after seeing her in the series Prime Videomany consider that, by appearance and aptitudes, it would be the perfect cousin of Superman in the DC Universe.
This has led to horrific.heroics to imagine Moretz as the future Supergirl in a fanart posted via Instagram. The actress wears an updated outfit of the DC Comics character and, certainly, on a visual level complies with the appearance that, for many, is what Supergirl should have, more in the line of Melissa Benoist in the Arrowverse series.
Supposedly, James Gunn and Peter Safran will reveal part of their plans for the DC Universe this January. It remains to be seen if Supergirl is included in those plans or if they will wait for The Flash has been released so as not to affect the iteration of Sasha Calle.
