It is common for different applications to receive updates frequently, but on many occasions we do not see exactly what has changed when we start them for the first time after those updates. The operator’s “My O2” app It has recently received its version 2.0, with a series of changes that will be more noticeable and others that may go unnoticed.
The app for O2 customers is renewed, with a more decisive incident management as the main pillar of this new version.
What’s new in the My O2 app
O2, Movistar’s secondary operator, only has news regarding its rates or the arrival of 5G, but has also recently updated the My O2 application to version 2.0. The first thing that stands out is a redesign of the user interface to make the experience much better.
However, if we look at the list of changes we will also see the following: “In addition, from now on, if you have a problem with your fiber line or service, you can solve it from the app through a simple process.”
These changes appear both in the Apple Store app for iOS and in the Google Play Store for Androidso there will be no differences between different devices.
What else can you do with the app?
If you have the My O2 application installed on your mobile you can do all this:
Consult your rate and its characteristics. See your data consumption in real time, details of calls made, SMS sent and other extra consumption (for example, calls not included in your rate, such as to 902 or international numbers). Change the rate or contract other O2 products. View your invoices or download them in PDF format. Check if you have an invoice pending payment with the option to pay it, as well as view the total amount of debt, if any. Block calls to special numbers: access the “Management” section, which is the icon in the shape of a nut found in the lower right corner of the screen, select the line to which to apply changes and then click on “Configure line” and then “Block special numbers”.
Activate call forwarding. Change your bank account if you need it: enter My Profile (the upper right icon), click on “Personal details”, choose the line or lines in which you want to change the account, click Modify and enter the new bank account and click in Save. Measure the speed of your fiber or the 3G/4G network to which you are connected. Activate the consumption widget to have your consumption at hand in real time. Access your schedule. You can use the My O2 app without this permission. However, they recommend that you accept it so that your consumer inquiries are more intuitive, by replacing the numbers with the names and images that you save in your calendar. Follow up on your pending requests. If you are a new client or if you are already a client, but you have just contracted new products at O2.
