After four phases of films, Marvel Studios is already warming up to start its movie in theaters Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the premiere of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, a film with which we will delve even deeper into this new arc known as Multiverse Saga.
Despite so many superhero movies, it seems that fans still haven’t gotten enough of them, and Kevin Feige seems to have the key to it.
Varied movies for all tastes
While the Marvel Cinematic Universe is largely inspired by comics, The president of Marvel Studios clarified that the more than 80 years of stories in Marvel comics are his main guide when defining the phases of the MCU.
“Each of our sagas is divided into phases and now we find ourselves on the precipice of Phase Two of the Multiverse Saga. And there are two ways to do it. One, we look at an overarching narrative, always using the comics and the 80+ years of Marvel comics history as our guide for what long-term overarching story we want to do.
But really, it all comes down to each individual movie or series, and what kind of genre we want to do,” Feige said in a recent interview for The Movie Business Podcast, where he also stated that he was not worried about the “superhero fatigue” that many say that will happen due to the massive release of these types of films.
According to Feige, the speculation that has been made about the demise of superhero-oriented cinema was based on a faulty premisegiven the enduring popularity of other adaptations.
“For me, it was like saying after Gone with the Wind, ‘Well, how many more movies can be made from novels? Do you think audiences will be sour about movies adapted from books?'” President of Marvel Studios.
Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will begin with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania on February 17, 2023. In the meantime, here we leave you what have been the best superhero movies of 2022, according to the writing of Hobby Consolas.
