Context
“When You’re Lost in the Dark” takes you to 2003, when a parasitic fungus outbreak begins to devastate the country and the world. Joel Miller tries to escape the growing chaos with his daughter and his brother. Twenty years later, a cynical and tough Joel and his partner Tess struggle to survive under a totalitarian regime, while the Fireflies, a group of insurgents, harbor a uniquely gifted teenager.
By Craig Mazin, creator of CHERNOBYL and winner of the Emmy award, and Neil Druckmann, creator of the acclaimed video game of the same name, the original series will premiere its second episode this Sunday, January 22 at 9 pm Mexico time on HBO Max and HBO, with a new episode every week.
