Over the last fifteen years, Marvel has turned some of its most popular characters from the comics into authentic icons of popular culture thanks to the success of the UCM. Heroes like Iron Man, Thor or Hulk have become more than frequent names in daily conversations for many.
Years before Disney acquired Marvel, and when comic book adaptations were still somewhat “marginal”, but were beginning to take off with the trilogy of Spider-Man by Sam Raimi, at de Blade or the first deliveries of the X-MenPixar also dove into the genre.
It was The Incrediblesthe 2004 film directed by Brad Birdwhich introduced us to the powerful Parr family, which harbors a powerful secret in each of its members.
The Incredibles II would arrive fourteen years later, with Marvel already well established and with the UCM in full swing. Both properties have many elements in common, although they take place separately, of course.
A look at The Incredibles through Marvel’s prism
Despite the fact that The Incredibles live their adventures in a universe that is foreign to the imaginary of Marvel comics, the graphic designer Nick there he has imagined what they would be like in the universe where Iron Man or Hulk shone.
Through a time lapse on Instagram, the members of the Parr family become their Marvel counterparts in a very cool way.
Bob becomes the mighty Captain America, while his wife, Helen, does the same with Ms. Marvel. The children are not missing the party: Dash adopts the appearance of Quicksilver; Violet becomes the Scarlet Witch; and little Jack-Jack puts on his visor Cyclops.
Although their Marvel counterparts don’t make up a “family” like the Fantastic Four, from which The Incredibles can draw more, the Marvelite touch of this fanart is very cool.
For now, Pixar has not announced a third installment of The Incredibles for the next few years, so we will have to wait and see if, at some point, the Parrs return to action or continue to give way to Marvel.
