The Day Before – Tráiler
Its managers want to give users confidence by ensuring that the delay was part of their plans before this unrest on Steam, but of course things are very tense right now.
Studio co-founders Eduard and Aisen Gotovtsev have chatted with IGN about this and other issues they are facing that are already in the process of being resolved.
“We plan to move the release date of the game earlier and announce it with (publisher) Mytona in a 10-minute gameplay video. And then you know what happened.
So now to be safe and to make sure there are no more moves we, along with the editor, chose November 10th. It’s a safe date, given the trademark dispute.”
The Day Before for PlayStation and Xbox is also still running
Fntastic is “very confident” that the trademark issue will be resolved by “strong legal partners.” This extra time will allow the team to “better prepare for the release and make general improvements to the game.
It’s going to be even more polished, optimized and packed with content.” Despite accusations that the game is not in development, its studio has reiterated that it really exists.
“The storm will eventually calm down and time will put everything in its place. When the game arrives, people will see the truth,” they said.
“But while we’re here, thankful for a fantastic trip and for you guys being with us.” In fact, Fntastic has revealed in a statement that The Day Before has been in development for 4 years and has been fully financed by Mytona.
“We understand that some players, not seeing the whole picture, may have doubts about the game. Our focus has always been on the product itself.
We have been creating the game for 4 years. All of them have been blood and sweat and the many members of the team are disgusted to hear such accusations.
We haven’t taken a penny from people: no crowdfunding, bookings or donations. The game has been funded by Mytona, one of the world’s largest mobile publishers who checked the build of the game at every milestone as per our contract.”
They maintain that they only believe “in the final product. No matter what anyone says, you will see it on November 10 of this year. We hope that after its success, faith that this time if you persevere in a dream it will come true despite to obstacles and doubts”.
The Day Before se lanza en PC, Xbox Series X|S y PS5 developed in Unreal Engine 5 (resulting in a delay) and has unpaid volunteers, but sees another late 2023 delay.
