What characters from The Last of Us 2 will we see in the first season? The HBO series has premiered with a great reception.
There are several characters from The Last of Us 2 that we could see soon. The first season of the HBO series is currently airing. And while the season focuses squarely on the events of the first game, it’s quite possible some characters from the Naughty Dog sequel will make an appearance. The first game’s cast is quite small, with Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) enjoying themselves for most of the game’s story.
However, The Last of Us 2 features a greater number of main characters. Many of which would be perfect for introducing into the story of the first season of the HBO show. Even series co-creator Craig Mazin has already hinted at the possibility of characters from the second game appearing. In fact, he has specifically spoken of the inclusion of the Prophet Seraph.
The importance of Abby and “The Prophet”
There are several characters from The Last of Us 2 that could appear in the first season of HBO, especially “The Daily Prophet”. This character serves as a shady messianic figure in the second installment’s story of the Seraphites.. The Seraphim are an important part of the world and story of the second game, so setting them in the first season would be a good idea. This could also allow for the appearance of other known Seraphites, such as Lev and Yara.
On the other hand, The Last of Us 2 also adds a new cast of characters who live in Seattle. Abby Anderson is the antagonist turned protagonist of the video game. And since Joel and Ellie meet his father at the end of the first game, it’s possible he might show up. In fact, any member of the Washington Liberation Front could appear on HBO’s first season, including the likes of Owen, Manny, and Mel. Ellie also has a new set of friends in the sequel, like Dina and Jesse. And it would be nice if the first season introduced them.
