Himedik.com – The discourse on paid vaccines has emerged since the beginning of the production of the Covid-19 vaccine, however, the Indonesian government itself has finally provided free subsidies to people who will be vaccinated because it is mandatory. Then, how much is the actual official price of the vaccine?
Adapting from the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.01.07/MENKES/12758/2020, there are several legal vaccine prices circulating.
The price for the fourth dose of vaccine is detailed as follows:
1. AstraZeneca vaccine
This type of vaccine is the vaccine with the highest efficacy, which is around 63.9% according to WHO. This vaccine is set by the government at a price of IDR 110,000 with a dose of 0.5 ml with recipient ages ranging from 18-84 years. Meanwhile, the first and second vaccination periods are 8 to 12 weeks.
2. Novavax vaccine
One of the newest production vaccines that also has high efficacy value is the Novavax vaccine. For the Novavax vaccine, the government sets a price of IDR 150,000 with a dose of up to 0.5 ml and the age of recipients of this vaccine ranges from 18-84 years with a second vaccination interval of 21 days or 3 weeks. The efficacy rate of Novavax is 90% according to clinical trials.
3. Vaksin Sinovac
As the first vaccine to be distributed to Indonesia, the price for this type of covid vaccine has been set by the government at IDR 240,000 with a dose of up to 0.5 ml and given to Indonesian citizens 18-59 years old with a distance of 14 days from the first to the second vaccination.
4. The Pfizer vaccine
The government has also set the price for the Pfizer vaccine at IDR 350,000 with a dose of 0.3 ml and is aimed at Indonesian citizens aged 18-59 years with the second vaccination starting from 3 to 4 weeks. The efficacy rate of Pfizer is 95% according to clinical trials of doctors and researchers.
5. Moderna Vaccine
One of the vaccines with quite severe effects is Moderna. Even so, this vaccine is also still being distributed to Indonesia at a price of IDR 505,000 for a 0.5 ml dose and is carried out for Indonesian citizens aged 18-55 years with 2 injections within 28 days or 4 weeks. The efficacy of Moderna itself is 94.1% in clinical trials.
6. Vaksin Sinopharm
The vaccine that is also planned to be paid is the Sinopharm vaccine. The government has also set a price of IDR 880,000 for a dose of 0.5 ml. The age of the recipients of this vaccine also reaches further, namely 12 to 59 years and 2 injections are carried out 21 to 28 days apart. The efficacy rate of Sinopharm is 79% (WHO).
