Actress Annie Wersching, best known for playing Tess in the video game The Last of Us and The Las of Us Part 1, recently passed away at the age of 45. According to her family and friends, and confirmed by Deadline, she was diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 2020, but despite that, she continued to work in different productions.
The actress played various characters including Emma Whitmore on NBC’s “Timeless,” Leslie Dean on Marvel’s “Runaways,” and the Borg Queen in the second season of Paramount’s “Star Trek Picard.” And in the video game industry, she did voice and performance capture for video games, for 2019’s “Anthem” and Tess, a very important character who convinced Joel to take Eliezer with Las Fireflies in Naughty Dog’s “The Last of Us”. Her husband, Stephen Full, referred to the event and indicated the following: “There is a huge void in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest of moments… I can still hear her voice as she said goodbye to us as we drove our children, her true love, down the winding street. Goodbye my partner. ‘I love you my little family’.”
The actress will be remembered for participating in different productions and in the video game industry we must be grateful that thanks to her character we had a great adventure in a United States destroyed by cordyceps. We also regret her death and wish peace for her rest and her family.
