This Monday, January 30 at 6:30 p.m., the telenovela “Forgive our sins”, produced by Lucero Suárez, premieres on the Las Estrellas channel. The melodrama stars Emmanuel Palomares, Oka Giner, Erika Buenfil, Jorge Salinas, César Évora, Sabine Moussier, Marisol del Olmo, Osvaldo de León and Rocío de Santiago, who talks with THE REPORTER about this project where she will play “Toñita”.
He explains that from the outset, the title of the novel is one of the things that he loves the most. “It draws a lot of attention and it is that in reality all the characters in this soap opera have a hidden sin. So this will be very interesting. They will find everything, a lot of melodrama and comedy”.
It is a plot that appeals to classic melodrama, “the good kind, one of those soap operas that we watch and suffer, but that we love because we are stuck there on television.” Rocío shares that the story is about four families that will have important differences in the development of the chapters.
“Toñita” is the daughter of “Silvia” (Marisol del Olmo) and sister of “Andrés” (Emmanuel Palomares), who make up a humble family where the mother is the breadwinner and who works as a servant in the house of one of the richest families, “Los Montero”. “We are the humble ones, of those characters who are going to be suffering all the time.”
“Toñita” works as a receptionist at the hotel in town and for her the most important thing is family, she is a generous girl devoted to her family. Her brother “Andrés” begins to have problems with “Los Quiroga”, the most important family in town, so her family nucleus begins to break.
“One of the things I appreciate the most is working alongside Marisol, she’s a great actress, I’ve been seeing her as a villain and I love it, but seeing her now with this character from ‘Silvia’ (because now she’s good), it seems like such a thing to me.” pretty, crying with her is wonderful, I admire her a lot and I am very grateful to Lucero for having put her in my path. And Emmanuel is charming, he is perfect in every way”.
As for love, “Toñita” has always been in love with “Gerardo Montero” (Osvaldo de León), she has known him all her life since he is the son of the family where her mother works, her love is forbidden because “Gerardo” is married.
On how she is developing her character, she notes: “For ‘Toñita’ the most important thing is her family and when her brother gets into trouble, her world collapses. She has always been in love with ‘Gerardo’, and although they cannot be together, things will happen that will bring them together. The telenovela is still being recorded and Rocío hopes that the public will get hooked on the story.
