ROME, 23 JAN – “Our cadastral values do not deserve an acceleration in updating, in other countries the revaluation is much older”. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Economy Maurizio Leo at the 6th forum of accountants and accounting experts in Milan. On the reform of the cadastre “we need to clarify things a bit: if we look at the other EU countries, in almost none there has been an update of real estate values. Austria has not updated cadastral values since 1973, Belgium since 1975, France since 1970. Ours date back to 1988-89: we cannot say we are the Cinderella in updating cadastral values”. (HANDLE).
