Jeff LegaspiAnnapurna Interactive’s Marketing Director explains that partnering with these types of organizations “was a bit of a no-brainer for us”. Brendan Gepson of the Humane Society of Nebraska indicates that thanks to Annapurna they were able to give away several game codes through their account Twitter By way of $5 donations, in that regard, as we look at some rescued cats, Gepson says that “it was very successful from the initial fundraiser that we raised about $8,000”.
Rafael Almeida, from the Brazilian rescue organization, Gatos De Francisco, explains that the game is beautiful and since the goal of the game is to reunite the cat with its family, that is exactly what they do. Regarding the collection, he says that “I love the game. The amount we have collected in the raffle was the equivalent of sterilizing 25 cats”. Debbie Distanisloa of the Stray Cat Relief Fund, states that Annapurna Interactive has not only been giving out game codes, but once sponsored a $4,000 cat health walk, which eventually became a $6500 after the collection.
“Help a stray cat when you see him in the street, please take him away. We don’t need more big kittens fighting in the streets” with this phrase the video ends, it’s nice to see how a game can help stray cats. A synergy between the virtual and the real with a lot of love.
