As part of promoting The Fabelmans, Steven Spielberg has stopped by the Smartless podcast to chat about the movie. Naturally, his longstanding collaboration with John Williams came to the fore, and Spielberg singled it out as the best of his entire career.
“It’s the best collaboration I’ve had in my career. I’ve had many great collaborations, but that one takes the cake,” said the director, who pointed out that the song by Los Fabelmans dedicated to him by John Williams aroused similar feelings in him to those of the Main theme of Schindler’s List.
At 90, John Williams seemed willing to keep the baton behind Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fate. However, he recently stated that as long as Steven Spielberg continues to direct, he will have it there to put music to his films.
