Steamthe world’s largest PC game platform and store, has started a new thematic festival this week, with offers on dozens of games… all with one thing in common: they are building games.
Games like Jurassic World Evolution 2, Cities Skyline, Valheim, Fallout 76 are the stars this time.
The Steam Base Building Festival takes place between January 23 and 30, at 7:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time). As you enter Steam you will see a banner highlighted throughout the week.
And what will you find in this festival? Games on sale and demos of a multitude of construction and simulation games: build cities, theme parks, space stations, defense bases… The variety is enormous within this subgenre!

The best simulation and construction games on Steam
For a subgenre within strategy and simulation, games based on building and management can be enormously diverse.

Precisely, a new game of this subgenre was announced yesterday, SteamWorld Build, which will be released in 2023, but it already has a demo available on Steam, and which is a twist on construction games by adding mining in dungeons, as in the other series games.
