Positive opinion of the mayor: now the approval of the resolution, then we vote on the public interest. The new Giallorossi home can be ready in 2027
The process for the construction of the Roma stadium continues, which should be built in Pietralata. After the closing of the preliminary services conference – on January 10 – the mayor Roberto Gualtieri announced the successful conclusion of the first phase of the long process of approval of the project desired by the Friedkins. The mayor of the capital, via his Twitter profile, in fact provided an important update: “The closing of the preliminary services conference for the construction of the new AS Roma stadium on schedule was good. The process continues with the technical consent for the construction of an important work for Rome that will help redevelop the Pietralata quadrant”.
NEW STEPS
—
The closure of the preliminary services conference is only the first step of the tortuous road taken by Roma, which aims to get to play in a “new home” exclusively for the Giallorossi as soon as possible. The next expected step is the approval of the resolution with the text of the minutes of the preliminary conference, then the matter will move to the Giulio Cesare hall for the vote on the public interest. Once this step has been completed, the decision-making services conference will be convened and, in the meantime, the club will have to present all the documentation relating to the definitive architectural project. If all goes well, the dream of the Friedkins – and of thousands of Roman fans – could come true by 2027, the year of the club’s centenary. The aim is clearly to celebrate it in the new stadium.
