BRUSSELS, 17 JAN – The review of the EU Stability Pact will take place “within the semester”. This was stated by the vice president of the EU Commission Valdis Dombrovskis when he met the press at the end of Ecofin. “The commission intends to present the legislative proposals in a few months in the spring, so it will be important to reach the widest possible consensus at the European Council in March”, he adds.
