ROME, JAN 30 – The audience of ‘tricolor bands’ is boundless: the Italy of Municipalities with less than 15 thousand inhabitants is represented by seven thousand mayors, in Rome at the Nuvola di Fuksas, where Poste Italiane presents the 1.2 billion Polis Project . It focuses on the post office network to “promote the economic, social and territorial cohesion of small urban centers and inland areas” by creating a ‘proximity one-stop shop’, to access public administration services, and the “largest coworking network in the Paese”, with 250 ‘spaces for Italy’. Project financed for 800 million from the complementary plan to the Pnrr and for about 400 million from the company. The presence of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, is also expected at the ‘Nuvola’. There are 40 already completed, 230 construction sites will be opened by February, another 1500 construction sites will be started by December. The investment plan runs from 2022 to 2026. In the offices involved in the plan – it is explained – 7,000 Postamat ATMs will be installed, 4,000 workstations for the provision of self-service public services, 500 lockers for the delivery of parcels, active 24 hours a day. 24. 5,000 charging stations for electric vehicles, 1,000 photovoltaic systems, 1,000 smart building systems and environmental monitoring sensors will also be installed. There are also a thousand outdoor spaces equipped to welcome “cultural, health and well-being initiatives”. The 250 ‘spaces for Italy’ will then create a coworking network with over 10,000 work and meeting stations. 80 will be built in Municipalities with less than 15,000 inhabitants. The first 37 spaces will be open by the end of 2023. Thus, the company points out, “Poste Italiane will become the first operator in Italy in coworking” (ANSA).
