Trainer Alfred Schreuder was pleased with Ajax’s team performance after the draw at Feyenoord (1-1). “We fought for what we were worth in the second half,” the trainer of the team from Amsterdam told ESPN . “When Feyenoord takes the lead, they don’t often give it away. You can see that the team is growing, otherwise you won’t come back from behind. I may be the only one who sees that.”
Feyenoord had the upper hand before the break, Schreuder thought. “We had trouble finding the free man. Feyenoord was optically a bit more aggressive, although the pressure went well for us. Gradually it got much better. Kenneth Taylor played a good role in that in the second half. And Steven Bergwijn fell, I think I good at it.”
Ajax has been waiting for a victory in the Eredivisie for quite some time. The last victory was at the end of October at RKC Waalwijk (1-4). Schreuder thinks his team will win again soon. “Of course last week the first quarter against FC Twente was not good. But we are working on something. Today it was a good team performance.”
