The two women were both residents of Frosinone. Mother and daughter died within hours of each other in the same hospital, that of Frosinone. It was the first to expire Sara Palmiero, 47 years old, former referee. The woman had arrived at the emergency room after being struck by a sudden illness while he was at home. Unfortunately, any help from the hospital doctors was useless. The 47-year-old died shortly after. A few hours later, my mother also died, Rossella Boi, 78 years old. The elderly woman had been hospitalized at the ‘Fabrizio Spaziani’ hospital for a few weeks. This double drama has deeply shaken the entire Ciociaria town where Sara Palmiero was well known as former football referee.

Regarding the death of Sara Palmiero, the Frosinone prosecutor’s office has ordered the autopsy to clarify the causes of such a sudden death. Even if, in recent months, there have been frequent cases of young and healthy people struck down by sudden illnesses. Sometimes children were also killed.
The AIA section – Italian Association of Referees – from Frosinone he wanted to remember the woman as follows: “Yesterday one of our former associates, Sara Palmiero, aged 47, passed away. She was the first woman in our section to make her debut in the promotion category in May 2001. Associate since 20/04/ 1991 to 03/16/2012. Condolences to all her family from President Paolo Iaboni and from the entire AIA Section of Frosinone. You remain referees forever.” Sara’s partner in a video posted on Facebook explained that the woman had turned out covid positive during the holidays and had been negative for a few days. Today the memory of man who explains on social media: “Everything will be fine it’s been repetitive for years now I hope so in the second day without you”. Recently also a Romaa mother and a daughter were found dead in their apartment. In this case it is not known how they died.
