The adaptation of The Last of Us is a complete success, so much so that thanks to the HBO series, The Last of Us Part 1 has increased its sales. The re-release of the game available for PS5 and PC has re-entered the top physical (boxed) games in the United Kingdom, occupying the position number 20.

Thanks to GamesIndustry.biz, we know that sales of The Last of Us Part 1 increased a 238% after the show’s release on HBO, additionally ranking at number 32, The Last of Us: Remastered (PS4 version) re-entered the charts at number 32 with a sales increase of 322%. In the top 10 are games like Fire Emblem Engage, FIFA 23, and God of War Ragnarok.
Despite not being in the top 10, it is likely that many more copies of The Last of Us will be have sold digitallyand since these sales data does not include digital downloads, but only physical games, we can believe that the game should rank higher, since it has been quite boosted by the new series based on the adventure of Joel and Ellie .
