MOSCOW – At least 14 people were killed and 24 others injured after the missile Ukraine hit a hospital in the town of Novoaydar in the early hours of Saturday. This is a statement issued by the Ministry of Defence Russia .
According to the ministry, medical facilities in the city, which is tens of kilometers away from the front lines in the central part of the Lugansk People’s Republic, are treating local residents and soldiers. The ministry added that both patients and medical personnel were among the victims.
“The deliberate missile attack on a known civilian health facility is a very serious war crime of the Kiev regime,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a post on Telegram, as quoted by RT, Sunday (29/1/2023).

Russia’s Defense Ministry vowed to bring to justice all those involved in planning and carrying out the attack.
According to the statement, US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers were used in the attack. Following the attack, Moscow’s first deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, accused Washington of being directly involved in the incident.
Polyansky called the attack “another heinous crime,” highlighting that 14 civilians were killed in the hospital with missiles provided by the US. He also pointed out that Washington provided intelligence to the Ukrainian military.

“This gets the US directly involved,” he said, adding that US taxpayers should know how their money is being spent.
Moscow has repeatedly accused Ukrainian forces of targeting civilian infrastructure, including weapons supplied by the West. In early January, six people were killed and 37 injured in an attack on the town of Vasilyevka in Russia’s Zaporozhye Region.
Earlier, a hospital was demolished in the town of Tokmak in the same region. In both cases, the US-made HIMARS missile system was used, local authorities said at the time.
