It wasn’t overnight that Ricardo Montaner rose to fame. The father of the musical duo Always y Ricky He was born in Valentín Alsina (Buenos Aires, Argentina), but when he was still very young he traveled to Venezuela, precisely to Maracaibo, where he began to be part of a church choir.

“I sang in bars there in Maracaibo, in breweries. And I remember that when I finished singing, I would go to Nelly’s piano bar, which was called ‘El piano blanco’. She sang behind a piano, played wonderfully and sang wonderful songs. I used to love going there to listen to music after finishing work. One day I dared to ask Nelly if she could give me piano lessons”he recalled on one occasion Highlander.
Highlander began to take piano lessons, and at the same time continued to sing in the band “Scala”. She then decided to start her career as a solo singer.
