The invisible girl, a series inspired by the successful Blue Jeans trilogy published by Editorial Planeta, will be available exclusively on Disney+ in Spain from February 15.
The Serie the invisible girl It consists of 8 episodes of between 30 and 45 minutes that will be on the platform from the first day of its launch. Directed by Tito López Amado (El cuaderno de Sara, Mar de plástico) and Aritz Moreno (Advantages of traveling by train), The Invisible Girl takes as its starting point the first novel in the trilogy and gives it a more adult tone, making it in a darker thriller, which also deals with the reunion between the two protagonists.
The series stars Daniel Grao (Hit, Perdida, Gigantes) and Zoe Stein (Mantícora, Merlí Sapere Aude, Besos al aire, La Caza Tramuntanta), recently nominated for a Goya for Best New Actress. The cast is completed by Rebeca Matellán (Intimacy, La que se avecina), Pablo Gómez-Pando (The Innocents, Velvet), and the young performers Javier Córdoba, Marta Vallés and Hugo Welzel.
The writing of the scripts is carried out by Carmen López-Areal (The sleeping voice, An ordinary guy), Marina Efron (Three Minutes, A matter of sex), Antonio Hernández Centeno (Caronte, Living without permission), Ramón Tarrés (La Cocinera de Castamar, Toy Boy) and Ian de la Rosa (Farrucas, Veneno).
According to its executive producer, Pedro Uriol (Bajocero, Intemperie): “The Invisible Girl will surprise both fans of the novel and those who don’t know her. It is a mysterious and exciting adult thriller with a sensational cast and a purely cinematic look. We want the viewer to put themselves in the shoes of a father and a daughter forced to put aside their differences to solve a murder case that has shaken the peaceful lives of the inhabitants of Cárdena”.
About the series
A father and his daughter are involved in the investigation of the murder of a teenager during the summer festivities in Cárdena, a peaceful fictitious town in Andalusia, which will be the suffocating setting in which all the inhabitants are suspects.
