BRUSSELS, 26 JAN – Francesco Giorgi and Niccolò Figà-Talamanca, arrested last 9 December for the Qatargate, for now remain in prison. This is the decision taken by the Council Chamber of the Brussels court, according to reports from the Belgian federal prosecutor’s office, after the re-examination of the pre-trial detention of both suspects. If within 24 hours the lawyers of Giorgi and Figà-Talamanca should present an appeal, a new hearing will be set within fifteen days. (HANDLE).
