BOGOTA – Francia Marquez is the first black vice president of Colombia and is included in the category of tough leaders in Colombia. This is known from several social actions related to his name.
Of the several social actions that he inflamed, not all Colombians liked his actions. In 2019 he survived an assassination attempt by having explosives near his house.
Francia is a very famous figure in Colombia. He is known as a hero of the small community, especially women.

Francia lives on the banks of the river Ovejas where she lives side by side with a small community dependent on nature.
The Ovejas River is a source of life for Francia and her family both for clean water, drinking, finding fish to eat and other necessities of life.
But suddenly her life was disturbed by illegal gold miners, so that at a very young age of 13, Francia began to fight for her ancestral land rights over the community of life she had since childhood.
