The head of the Federal Consumer Attorney (Prophecy)Ricardo Sheffield, reported that the price of the basic food basket in Mexico has an upward trend, “but that has been controlled.”
In the conference morning today of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador explained that the price of the high basket “fell a little” and the low basket “raised a little”.
He pointed out that in the central zone of the country, the highest price of the basic basket was found in the Soriana market at 1,034 pesos, while in Bodega Aurrera, in Cuernavaca, Morelos, the cheapest was registered with a price of 910 pesos per the same 24 products.
In the center-north of the country, it is recorded that in HEB in Durango, the basic basket cost 1,034 pesos, while the cheapest was in Mega Soriana in Zapopan, Jalisco at 918 pesos.
The northern zone registers the most expensive price in the Smart store, in Ciudad Juárez at 1,050 pesos, while in Aurrera de Santillo, Coahuila, the basic basket cost 988 pesos.
Finally, in the south-southeast area, the most expensive area is found in the Mérida supply center at 1,074 pesos and the cheapest in the supply center at 914 pesos.
