Polo Polo was one of the most recognized comedians in the country for the type of comedy he performed. It should be mentioned that his retirement from the stage was due to health problems that occurred, it is even mentioned that suffered from alzheimer’salthough this disease was not confirmed.
They were more than 40 years of career as a comedian, in which he stole a lot of laughs from all his audience, many of them famous comedians who learned from Polo Polo and was a key player in reaching the world of comedy.
One of the first to react to this news was Lalo España, who not only mourned the loss of Leopoldo Roberto García Peláez Benítez, the comedian’s real name, but also extended his most sincere condolences to the family: “RIP the great Polo Polo. His sympathy and talent for humor gave us wonderful years of laughter. My condolences to your loved ones,” he wrote on his official Twitter account.
Mauricio Castillo and Víctor Trujillo also spoke about the departure of the comedy genius, the latter even thanked him for all the unforgettable moments he had spent in life: “Thank you for so many good moments. Rest in peace, dear Polo Polo” .

But Polo Polo not only left his mark on those he met, but also on the new generation of comedians who today also dedicated a few words to him.

It is known that the remains of the comedian will be veiled in a funeral home in the downtown area of CDMX.
