GoldenEye 007 has just arrived on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as part of Rare Replay, the collection that includes several Rare classics. Unfortunately, this release has a huge problem, and that is that players who have purchased the Rare Replay cannot access the classic James Bond adventure.
Through social networks, several owners of Rare Replay raised their voices. It turns out that there are users who did not receive the update that gives them access to GoldenEye 007. Thus, their collection is incomplete.

After a while, Rare came out to show his face and explain what happened. It turns out that those affected are only those who have Rare Replay in physical version and that the problem is due to a licensing problem.
“Due to differences between physical and digital licenses, we were only able to add GoldenEye 007 for owners of a digital copy of Rare Replay,” Rare explained on its official Twitter account.
Due to differences between physical and digital licences, we could only add the GoldenEye 007 entitlement for owners of a Rare Replay digital copy. Buying it digitally or subscribing to Xbox Game Pass will both give you access to the game! Apologies for any disappointment caused.

How to get GoldenEye 007 if I have physical Rare Replay?
This brings us to the question, what do owners of a physical copy of Rare Replay in physical format have to do? They have 2 options, but both of them mean shelling out an extra amount of money.
The first option is to go to the Xbox store to buy a digital copy of Rare Replay. With this they will have the necessary license to download GoldenEye 007 and will never again have to insert the Rare Replay disc to play it.
