PRIVATE VOCATIONAL – One point that Persita Tangerang can be grateful for when hosting Persis Solo in the continuation of Week 21 of the 2022/2023 BRI League 1 season.
Playing at the Indomilk Arena Stadium, the two teams played out a goalless draw (0-0). Gaining one point broke the record of never winning the Cisadane Warriors in the last five matches.
Alfredo Vera realized that it would not be easy to face Persis Solo, who has quite good player material. However, his squad appeared to be dominant throughout the match and had played better than in previous matches.
“I think this match was not easy. Exactly have good players, but we can control the game. In the first half we had a few chances to score but were not lucky. The second half we kept giving up with a few chances, but the game ended 0-0. It’s positive for us because we didn’t concede a goal, and we started to find better games,” Alfredo Vera opened in his press conference after the game.

According to Vera, the players appeared dominant with a number of opportunities that had not yet been met by their opponent’s nets. The aggressive game has been shown again by Ramiro Fergonzi et al.
The spotlight for the debuts of Fandry Imbiri and Aditya Harlan also received praise from Alfredo Vera, who considered that his players had defended very well in this match.
“Fandry played quite well in helping the team. Maybe he doesn’t have much rhythm in the game because he hasn’t played for a long time. But today his contribution was quite good,” continued Vera.
“I think the main thing for us is not to concede goals. Because we conceded a lot, today we got it and it was balanced. Maybe today we were unlucky not to score because there were so many chances. Surely in every match we have many chances, just stay calmer,” he said.
This one point broke the chain of defeats for Persita in the last five matches. The team is still in 10th place with 26 points.
