During the pandemic transition after the lifting of restrictions on community activities (PPKM), President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked his staff to remain vigilant and careful in making policies to maintain economic stability.
This was conveyed by President Jokowi at the 2023 National Coordination Meeting for the Handling of Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery (PCPEN), Thursday (26/01/2023), at the AA Maramis Building, Central Jakarta.
“After we withdraw PPKM at the end of 2022, this period is a transitional period and we must still be vigilant, careful in making policy decisions, especially the economy, for which we are currently in a very good position,” the President said as quoted from Ini balikpapan.com- -Suara.com network, on the same day.
President Jokowi said that in the midst of efforts to deal with the pandemic in 2022, Indonesia was able to maintain national economic growth.

“Quarter III is at 5.72 and year on year in 2022, as previously the Coordinating Minister for Airlangga said 5.3 (percent), if that is achieved a very good achievement we can achieve,” he said.
On that occasion, the President also expressed his appreciation to all parties who worked together for three years in efforts to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic and economic recovery from the central level down to the village level.
“I express my gratitude to all of you and all staff from the central level to the village level, who have worked hard for three years in dealing with the pandemic and overcoming our economy,” he said.
“It was a very tough challenge, a very, very difficult problem that we faced at that time, and there was no standard, no standard, because we all didn’t have experience in dealing with this pandemic,” he said.
