MILAN, 27 JAN – Twenty people have been reported by the Milan carabinieri for insults posted on the web against Senator Liliana Segre. Among them, according to what has been learned, there is also Chef Rubio. The accusation, for all, is defamation by telematic means with the aggravating circumstance of religious, ethnic or racial reasons. After Liliana Segre herself filed a complaint on 6 December 2022 with the Carabinieri of Milan for online threats and insults that occurred between October and December 2022, the telematic section of the Investigative Unit has now closed the investigations entrusted to her by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, tracing back to the owners of a series of anonymous profiles from which the Segre had received insults. The identified are 17 men and 3 women, including freelancers, doctors, insurers, nurses, from various social backgrounds who were then reported to the judicial authority, which will now have to decide who to register for the hypothesized crime.
