Square Enix y Acquire Corp They have released a new trailer for Octopath Traveler 2, to reveal the last two protagonists: Ochette and Castti. The video details part of the history and the abilities of each character. The first is of the Huntress class, while the second is of the Apothecary class.
Unlike H’aanit from the first game, Ochette is more of a beast girl. Although she sometimes comes into conflict with humans, she leads a relatively carefree life until she finds out about the Night of the Scarlet Moon. She sets out to bring back the three Creatures of Legend and fight the calamity.
Ochette can provoke the townspeople into combat with monsters. Of course, she can also use food to befriend them and make them partners. She captures and summons monsters to fight, but she can also turn them into items. Her latent power, Animal Instincts, causes her to unleash the drive within, gaining unique abilities.
Castti is an apothecary discovered adrift in the sea. With no memories, he uses his abilities to heal people, though it’s clear there’s more to his past. She can collect information from the townspeople and use medicine to make them fall asleep. Along with healing items, Castti can use hazardous materials in combat (the increase allows for more resources for a mix). Her latent power, Every Drop Counts, allows her to invent without using materials.
Octopath Traveler 2 is out on February 24 for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can watch the trailer below.
