FB Mondial updates the color range of its flagship naked, the Piega 125, which we were able to test this summer (You can find our road test here) and which is characterized by a very personal design, made by a front with double superimposed LED lights headlight, side panels with air intakes “a branchia e light pigtail without “frills”, which to make it even slimmer, the house has chosen to position the plate holder and the lights on a bracket connected to the swingarm.
The new handlebar is driven by a modern 124 cc single-cylinder four-valve engine with an electronic injection system specially developed by Dell’Orto. The declared values of this engine are of 14,3 CV a 9.750 giri/min, with a maximum torque of 10.5 Nm at 8,000 rpm. As far as the chassis is concerned, the frame is the same that equips the HPS 125, but for the occasion it has been revised and the engine plates have been inclined forward to accentuate the load at the front. Combined with it we find a robust fork a 40mm inverted stems and a rear monoshock with 120 mm travel while the braking system relies on two discs: 300 mm at the front with four-piston radial caliper and 220 mm at the rear with single-piston floating caliper. The bike is available in two versions: one with ABS (which we recommend) and the other with a combined braking system: a device that allows the braking action to be distributed between the two discs even if only one control is operated. Finally, the modern equipment completes the equipment TFT color display and Full-LED lights.
