The “Pedro Páramo” series will be filmed in various locations in the state of San Luis Potosí, it was announced at the meeting of Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona with Netflix company executives.
Filming will begin from the third week of next April. For seven weeks it will be filmed on the stages of Hacienda Carranco, Real de Catorce, downtown and median areas, which will allow a repositioning of the San Luis brand between investors and tourism, as well as promote the dissemination of the natural beauty, culture and tradition of Potosi.
“They are going to invest in new series and productions, it is beneficial for the state’s economy;Others are invited to the potosinos to participate, there will be recruitment of extras, they will be given some relevant roles, all those who want to participate must attend the calls,” said the state president.
In the seven weeks that the shooting of Pedro Páramo will last, work of the writer Juan Rulfo, there will be an important economic benefit for the hotel sector, because 13 thousand rooms will be occupied by members of the productionwhile the facilities provided by the Secretariats of Tourism and Economic Development will be in services and logistics.
