The first massive show of the year in Guadalajara this 2023 has been that of the international band Muse, who was very well received and covered by the public from Guadalajara (15 thousand people) this Friday night, which met at the VFG Arena to celebrate with the lineup its almost three decades of experience.
The band came to town as part of their “Will of The People World Tour.” Just last January 18 he was in Monterrey, and now from Guadalajara he will go to Mexico City, next January 23, where he will receive the public at the Foro Sol.
Traffic was heavy to get to the VFG, but you had to be patient to give way to a rock night that would heal those moments of stress on the road. Inside the building, the public enjoyed a good chat with friends and a cold beer while the concert began. It must also be said that the cold did its tricks, winter in the city, and even more so in the VFG area, is imperative.
Prior to the departure of Muse, the female band The Warning warmed up the engines of the evening, offering a loud and powerful style; the girls were very well received by the audience. They performed songs like “Disciple” and “Narcisista”. Then everything was ready and ready for the Muse group to jump on stage with its characteristic sound touch that has left its mark on lovers of the pure state of rock.
The musicians took the VFG stage at exactly 9:50 p.m., the audience was already anxious and whistling for Muse to start the concert. But As soon as a flaming installation appeared on the stage, the audience fell in love with the band, which opened with songs like “Will of the People”, “Hysteria”, “Drill Sergeant” and “Psycho”.
The members, especially Matt Bellamy, demonstrated their overwhelming stridency that bristled the senses of those present. There is no doubt that Muse has dominating the stage.
In recent statements, the band highlighted that they live success and fame in a different way, because now they enjoy everything at their own pace, without claiming to be the coolest; on the contrary, they value what they have in a healthy way and that is also how they enjoy their work as musicians.
This has perhaps been the formula that has consolidated them as one of the most important groups in current rock, a genre that has had a difficult time, but which Muse endorses, it is not about fashion, but permanence and hard work, always redefining his sound style.
Other songs that are well recognized by the public are “Map of the problematique”, “Won’t stand dow” and “Compliance”, whose chords resounded strongly and the attendees thanked them.
The Muse stage, although simple in its structure, had a very good set of lights, which revitalized the power of the band’s instruments. As well as paraphernalia that rounded off the show. Also, A large-format mask moved to the center of the stage, an installation that gave the perception of a futuristic and dystopian moment.
There was also a platform which the musicians could go around to be closer to the people, in addition to two screens on each side of the stage so that the people in the stands would not lose any detail of the show.
The public continued to enjoy the fury of Muse with hits like “Plug in baby”, “Behold, the glove”, “Uprising”, “Starlight”, “Kill or be killed” y “Knights of Cydonia”. Undoubtedly a great night for the band in this recent return to Guadalajara.
