ROME, JAN 25 – “After the rescue this morning, the Geo Barents continued to sail towards the first signal she had received, in accordance with international maritime law. Eventually we managed to locate an overcrowded dinghy in distress in international waters: 107 people, including 5 women and 36 minors, were rescued and are now safe on board the Geo Barents”. Médecins Sans Frontières makes it known. In total there are now 237 people on board. (ANSA).
