Today the State asks the son, Daniel Pellicciardi to pay for the killer. A first tax notice to Daniele Pelliciardi had arrived again in 2019 with the request for pay the tuition fees the role of the sentence that had seen him successful against the Ministry of Economy. Pelliciardi’s lawyer had intervened, managing to ensure that that sum went to Daniele as he was the son of the victims. The man used the money to pay legal fees of the long judicial affair resulting from the murder of his parents. “The State should have been responsible for the expenses, but it didn’t do it. So the Revenue Agency came to ask me for the money” – ha Pellicciardi explained.

Sixteen years have passed since that August 2007 when Daniele’s parents were found massacred. their killer, the Albanian Naim Stafa, 33 years old at the time, before the crime in Gorgo, had been imprisoned under another name. Which is why he had managed to obtain compensation from the court of Naples equal to 111 thousand euros. In the meantime Stafa had met the 19-year-old Romanian Alin Bogdaneanu who worked in the Durante family factory. The two, together with a third accomplice, Artur Lleshi. The three had set their sights on Mrs. Elvira Durante’s villa – in Gorgo al Monticano, in the province of Treviso – where the Daniele’s parents worked as caretakers. On that night of August 21, what was supposed to be a theft had taken place, which then degenerated into murder. Daniele Pellicciardi’s parents were tortured and killed with 180 screwdriver blows and hit with bolts. In the subsequent long judicial phase, Daniele Pelliciardi was awarded compensation of 1 million euros. Money that he has never seen as the three were destitute. But there were those 111 thousand euros that the state had to recognize in Sfata and that Pelliciardi’s lawyer had managed to block. “The costs of filing the sentence were to be borne by Stafa. In 2019, as soon as the tax file arrived, my lawyer immediately forwarded an official communication, pointing out the error. Since then, no one has answered him… The worst, however, is that they don’t allow me to put an “end” to this affair once and for all”- he finished the man. On the other hand, those who will not receive even a penny are the parents of the poor Giuliano De Setawho died at 18 during an internship.
