Microsoft, unlimited vacations for employees. But only in the States
Unlimited holidays for everyone. Microsoftthe Big Tech giant of Bill Gates, changes its vacation policies for employees. Starting from 16 January, in fact, holidays will be unlimited and will be added to leave, holidays and sick leave.
Employees will need to get the green light from their bosses as soon as possible before taking the “discretionary time off“, as well as Microsoft call unlimited vacations, offered only to full-time employees in the United States.
For companies, the unlimited holidays they can help attract talent, as well as make it less costly to voluntarily or force an employee out as the company finds itself not having to compensate for accumulated time off and vacation.
But many are sceptical. Several observers because they believe it can push employees to take even less vacation, as well as pose a problem for i manager.
